I want to share my great lesson from the 2016 in hope you will share something with me.
I used to believe in a magical form of spirituality. Y’know, the law of attraction.
Draw it out, journal it, and POOF!! Your golden mansion in Malibu, your partner with an attitude-make-over, and your finely sculpted calf muscles will suddenly APPEAR!
But over the past year, I’ve learned that only what you practice day in and day out becomes real.
Let me give you an example. You might have read about my mission to learn how to jump 10 feet high and slam dunk a basketball.

For the last 3 months, I have been working with a trainer/guru who usually works with professional athletes, not dudes with dad-bods like me.
Day in and day out, this trainer/guru works with me on the repetition of a physical process: lengthening, transitioning, and shortening the muscles in my legs.
That’s what goes into building vertical leap. Lengthening, transitioning, and shortening. Over and over until you develop that SPRING in your jump!
So here’s the question for you as we head into the last weekend of 2016.
What new habit will you practice everyday in 2017 to make your new year different, positive, filled with healthy growth and change?
If you plan to wake up on January 1 the same way you’ve woken up for past January 1’s and your answer is, “I don’t know the answer to your question,”… then it’s not fair to expect the Universe to suddenly sprinkle wealth and health and happiness onto your life.
So let me ask you again: What new habit will you practice, everyday, in 2017 to make it different, positive, filled with healthy growth and change?
